A Little Bit of History

I’ve long loved creating digital magazines & newspapers that showcased community members’ incredible ideas and talents.

My debut as this sort of creator was as a “Town Crier” in my early 20s. As Kitlandria Bokest, Editor in Chief, I created the Bordweall Chronicles, a newspaper-style production meant to share the extraordinary tales of our digital kingdom.

Appearing as though printed on old paper, this 1-2 “page” chronicle featured both hilarious and serious roleplay stories, fan art, memes, and interviews around the video game we mutually supported.

It was such a delight! The project was always one I looked forward to, and was wildly successful on the forums and in our online communities.

Launching the Living LUNA Zine was a divine download that came to me as I realized there was a Blue Moon coming up. You see, I’m super multi-passionate and always looking for innovative ways to express myself and share what others are doing, too.

Thus, this project was born!

I love how the tools we have today allow me to take my experience in art & graphic design, English, editing, creative writing, and more, combining all my skills and interests into one project.

This production may not be my bread and butter, but it is deeply gratifying. The feedback about how beautiful and intentional the whole zine feels to our viewers/readers tells me that it is important to keep going and sharing these words.

Then the ZINE was Born…

Looking back, I see the way these hobbies prepared me to create an even bigger impact in the world through Living LUNA’s mission of Uplifting the Others.

While we’re just getting started producing these interactive Living LUNA Zines, I can always see the way they’re making a ripple into the world.

These pages are packed with beautiful one-of-a-kind art pieces, photography, poems, short stories & prose, self-help articles, astrology updates, and so much more.

Our current goal is to publish about 2 Volumes per year, and we’re currently open to submissions for the 2024 Spring Edition!
